At the touch of a button, the EcoSmart™ Water Guardian pumps all of the cooled water sitting in your hot water line back to the hot water system. This recirculation process continues until hot water becomes available at your hot tap. The Water Guardian automatically detects a temperature rise in the water and turns itself off. Hot water is available at the tap as soon as it is turned on.

Eliminate Water Wastage
The EcoSmart™ Water Guardian will eliminate nearly all waste water by recirculating all of the cooled water in your main hot water pipe. (A small amount of cooled water residing between your hot water pipe and some taps will not be saved)

Both the hard wired and the remote activation button provides you with full control of the EcoSmart™ Water Guardian.

Exceptionally quick and quiet
The circulation process is very quick at 53 litres per minute on the small unit and 89 litres per minute on the larger unit. Even though it is powerful, the EcoSmart™ Water Guardian is very quiet.

Positioning the EcoSmart™ Water Guardian
It is essential that the EcoSmart™ Water Guardian is positioned at the furthest fitting (hot water tap) from the hot water system. Typically, this is either the ensuite, bathroom or the kitchen.

It is important that both the hot and cold water pressure is equalised to ensure product performance. The easiest way to do this is to install a pressure limiting device at the water main. Any other pressure limiting devices further down the line must then be removed.

Specifying the size of the EcoSmart™ Water Guardian
There are five considerations when selecting the size of your EcoSmart™ Water Guardian
1. Determine whether you are retrofitting to an existing home or it's a new home
installation.
2. If the distance from the hot water system to the furthest tap is more than 20m,
select a large unit.
3. If the distance from the hot water system to the furthest tap is less than 20m,
select a small unit.
4. If you have a continuous flow gas hot water system, you must select the large unit.
5. If in doubt, select a large unit.
