QUEENSLAND ECOSMART SOLAR DEALERS READY TO RALLY FOR A GOOD CAUSE
The EcoSmart Solar dealers of Queensland are gearing up to take on the Australian outback this July in the epic eight day Great Endeavour Rally. The Rally is aiming to help raise essential funds and promote awareness for the Endeavour Foundation.
EcoSmart Toowoomba’s Greg Sproule, EcoSmart Sunshine Coast’s Tim Bridges and EcoSmart Rockhampton’s Jeff Hoare will be raising dust and dollars for the Foundation in their “Quality Matters” Silver Spur Rolls Royce, which has been modified to tackle the challenges they’ll face in the annual outback motoring adventure.
The Great Endeavour will kick off in Caloundra on July 13 and take the team northwards on a 4,000km journey into the heart and soul of Queensland, including its tropical ranges and pristine rainforests, through to the finishing line at The Great Barrier Reef in Port Douglas on July 20.
During this time, the team will live and breathe the outback while battling rough and rugged terrain, river crossings and bogs, traversing tricky off-road tracks and navigating dense bushland to claim the coveted Great Endeavour Rally prize.
The EcoSmart Queensland dealer team has already achieved outstanding results in their previous rallies with the “Quality Matters” Rolls Royce. The team took out first place in their class at the recent Great Endeavour One Day Fun Day Rally and also won second place in their class at the Endeavour Workers Rally.
Greg said, “We have certainly put this elegant, high-end vehicle through its paces and it has not only met the challenges of some seriously tough and adventurous outback tracks, but performed very well against competitors - setting a high standard for July’s big event.”
The Rolls Royce has also attracted plenty of attention at these one-day rallies and amongst the locals from Rockhampton, Gatton, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast, who had the chance to check out the car whilst on its Queensland EcoSmart Solar dealership tour this year. The raffle fundraiser, which the team held at each tour destination, was proved immensely popular amongst locals, who had the chance to win some amazing prizes which included EcoSmart Solar Hot Water systems and a Pterodactyl Helicopters tour flight.
Greg added, “We are so proud to be able to throw our support behind the Foundation and fundraise for a cause we strongly believe in. The community engagement with our fundraising initiative has also been fantastic and we would like to extend a huge thanks to EcoSmart Solar, all our sponsors and everyone who has helped support us on our journey and contributed to our fundraising efforts.”
“We are very much looking forward to the rally and joining the 200 other intrepid explorers in what will certainly be a wild, wonderful and challenging adventure. Until then, we will be scrutinizing and fine-tuning the Rolls Royce to ensure it is in top form.”
Now in its 26th year, The Great Endeavour Rally is one of Australia's longest-running and most successful charity motoring events, raising over $5 million to date for the Endeavour Foundation to support thousands of Queenslanders with a disability or special need. This year the funds raised by the Great Endeavour Rally are going towards the construction of seven state-of-the-art houses for people with a disability on the Sunshine Coast, Rockhampton and Cairns as part of Endeavour Foundation’s self-funded At Home With Choices construction program.
