Brian Coghill has managed and owned his own Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning company for over 20 years. His expertise in refrigeration machinery has gained him a successful and well managed business for two decades.

Servicing the Warracknabeal area, Brian was approached by EcoSmart and saw the opportunity to expand his business into the Horsham area and offer variety for his staff and local customers.

According to Brian, being a refrigeration mechanic requires skills in electronics as well as pipe and gas knowledge. Therefore, solar installations mirrors well with Brian’s qualified and outstanding skills in both the electrical and plumbing arena.

Brian also enjoys working in the domestic sector which is perfectly suited for EcoSmart solar hot water systems and has always been interested in this side of the industry.

“I love fixing things, that’s what got me into this trade in the first place. You see, the smaller the problem the more there is to see and learn. This is what I tell my staff and I think it’s a vital philosophy to embed with the advancement of solar technology. It might be small now but it’s going to be big. It’s the way of the future.”

The team at EcoSmart Solar Horsham believe in providing rural homeowners with a solar hot water system which will reduce hot water energy consumption by up to 80 per cent and eliminate tonnes of greenhouse gases year after year.

Brian’s main goal for his first year with EcoSmart will be getting the name out to locals and educating them about sustainable practice and the benefits of solar. Brian will be responsible for the direct marketing campaign as well as advising consumers about the many solar hot water rebates on offer for Victorian homeowners.

Raising four children also keeps Brian busy and he loves watching his youngest daughter play in sporting tournaments on the weekends as well as playing some competitive tennis with his family and friends.
